In the past two days we were meant to travel to Heidelberg in Germany to continue designing the Social Innovation Executive Education program that we are building in collaboration with Heidelberg University, Trier University, VID University in Oslo and Eurodiaconia. Due to travel restrictions, we have been busy creating the program content and structures digitally. The program will incorporate how every region and team approaches Social Innovation.
A sneak peak:
– Heilderberg University reflects on how the welfare system in Germany enhances or limits what Social Innovation can focus on.
– At Agirre Lehendakaria Center, we design, implement and evaluate Social Innovation Platforms with a strong focus on integrating the existing social and cultural dynamics of the territories we are working with.
– Trier University focuses on the prototypes that activate a Social Innovation movement, designing and prototyping solutions.
– VID university in Oslo reflects on the conditions that need to be in place to implement new ideas in existing systems.
The program was planned to start this month and in the pandemic context, we have decided to postpone it to March 2021. We are looking forward to meeting partners and program participants in person; and if that is not possible, we would like to look at it as an opportunity to explore new ways to facilitate online learning.
