The Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, in its desire to drive a sustainable transition in the Basque Territory –understanding sustainability as the integration of the environment, social cohesion and economic competitiveness to create prosperous, healthy, diverse and resilient communities for this generation and generations to come– has activated a process of advanced experimentation in Gipuzkoa. Its main added value lies in the implementation of a shared strategy to the multiple projects underway in Gipuzkoa, enabling the interconnection between all of them and amplifying their impact. This strategic commitment has begun under the coordination of ALCK with the collaboration of EIT-Climate KIC (our main partner in the shared understanding and discourse of the sustainable transition process and liaison with European policies) and OECD in Debagoiena (our main partner in the development of policies and mechanisms that allow us to experiment in anticipatory governance and citizen participation).
