Home Work Experimentation Specialized Foster Care (Redes AFE)
We work on the "Specialised Foster Care" project, coordinated by Agintzari together with other organisations, on the specialised foster care model developed in Gipuzkoa as a model of success. The project proposes to replicate the model in other territories of the Basque Country and the rest of the State.
Redes AFE works to offer a family environment for children with special difficulties and who are currently living in institutions (residential shelters).
ALC works on the Developmental Evaluation of the process.
With the intention of evaluating the process in real time and looking for solutions to problems that may be encountered along the way, to adapt the intervention to these opportunities that arise. This evaluation also makes it possible to co-create initiatives according to the reality of each center and territory or to scale the successful ones to broader scenarios.
What is Specialized Foster Care?
Specialized foster care is a type of foster care that takes place in a family in which at least one of its members has the qualifications, experience and specific training to carry out this function with children and teenagers, under the guardianship or care of the administration, with special needs or circumstances.
