Aitziber Blanco Goikoetxea has a degree in Economic Law from the University of Deusto. After four years working with indigenous returnees in Guatemala, she spent 14 years working with the social movements Elkarri and Lokarri, which promoted dialogue and agreement in the context of the Basque conflict. With accredited training in psychodrama, she has also trained in Nonviolent Communication and restorative practices.
For the last ten years, through his own company, Berbari Lekua, he has facilitated dialogue processes and provided advice on memory and coexistence at both the political and citizen levels, and has accompanied restorative practices between people who have directly suffered violence.
Based on the conviction that community is built on diversity, spaces for dialogue are characterized by a focus on care and honesty, which allow for rapprochement and acceptance of “the other” and thus enable the construction of shared, longer-term alternatives to complex problems.
