The Government of Indonesia has signed an agreement with the United Nations to replicate a pilot program led by ALC throughout the country.
ALC has been collaborating with UNDP for two years to strengthen local development strategies in West Java and Gorontalo. The main objective of this program is to share the Basque experience in processes of socioeconomic transformation towards new models of sustainable human development. Starting in January 2023, this program will be replicated in 150 locations in Indonesia.
With the aim of specifying the operational details of this agreement, a large delegation from the Indonesian government will visit the Basque Country in the second week of December and will meet with the main protagonists of the socioeconomic transformation experienced by Basque society in recent decades.
This agreement reinforces the international position of Euskampus at an international level and confirms the strategic opportunity that Basque society has to accompany processes of socio-ecological transition towards more sustainable human development models.
