Rethink Ireland
Agirre Lehendakaria Center and Rethink Ireland are working together to apply a systemic change approach to the mental health sector in Ireland. Their collaboration seeks to generate more effective and sustainable interventions that are people-centered and based on a deep understanding of ecosystem dynamics.
Systemic Change Workshop in Dublin
ALC organized a workshop on social innovation and systemic change in collaboration with Rethink Ireland and key players in the mental health sector in Ireland. The workshop focused on Rethink Ireland's internal capacities and brought together strategic partners to co-design a Learning Community with a systemic approach, incorporating ecosystem mapping, interconnections, cultural dimension, and an intervention portfolio approach.
Mapping the Irish ecosystem
A session was held with the Mental Health Community of Practice (CoP), dedicated to advancing the mapping of the social innovation ecosystem in Ireland. Around 25 professionals shared the relationships that exist between their organizations and other key actors, which made it possible to identify patterns of collaboration and gaps in the system. This mapping is conceived as a dynamic tool that facilitates the visualization of interdependencies, the detection of priority strategic actors, and reflection on how to incorporate relevant entities that are not yet actively participating.
Next steps: listening and co-creation
The next steps in the process will focus on an active listening of actors and beneficiaries and on the co-creation of new interventions that reinforce the collective impact. In addition, K Tool will continue to be used to highlight the dynamics of the ecosystem, maintaining a “learning by doing” approach, focused on people and sustainability.
