Mikel Álvarez is a Project Manager at “Agirre Lehendakaria Center for Social and Political Studies”. He has been linked to the center since his university years, contributing to various projects through several internship periods. His Bachelor’s Thesis focused on the analysis of the Gipuzkoa Deep Demo program of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, in which the center collaborates, and his Master’s Thesis addressed the methodological approach of the Agirre Lehendakaria Center for the analysis of science, technology and innovation policies in the Basque Country from the restoration of self-government in 1979 to its future projection in 2030. He is currently involved in several projects at the center and works on information curation and development of the digital tool Ktool. He holds a degree in Global Digital Humanities from Mondragon Unibertsitatea and a Master’s degree in Models and Areas of Research in Social Sciences from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), where his research focuses on the evaluation of social impact in complex challenges and its translation into digital tools, in connection with the development of Ktool.
