ALC and CESAL advanced in the co-creation of the Social Innovation Guide
The University of Granada, ALC, and CESAL held a co-design workshop to advance the development of the Social Innovation Guide, a practical resource that will be developed by the University and seeks to systematize learning, tools, and methodologies to promote community transformation processes.
The session provided an opportunity to explore the application of the evolutionary evaluation approach to the context in which the ISOT project is being developed, review the system for supporting regional teams, and explore digital tools and inspiring examples.
During the meeting, the working system with CESAL teams was also reviewed, progress on Ktool—the ALC digital infrastructure for addressing complex challenges—was presented, and examples of methodological guides and tools that enrich the design and implementation of social innovation initiatives were shared.
Listening and key narratives
Among the main observations gathered during the listening process that began in September in Granada and Alfacar, it was identified that current training is too focused on employment and leaves social issues in the background; that training initiatives tend to operate in isolation, making it necessary to strengthen interconnections with the rest of the system (such as education, leisure, or housing, among others); and that the public sector is disconnected and does not assume joint responsibility for the situation.
Next November, the first collective interpretation will take place in Granada, where the initial narratives identified with the network of local agents involved in promoting training programs will be compared.
